Free Check doesn’t need payment whereas the Deep Check has an affiliation with Grammarly’s premium pack.
So, if you’re intending to go for GrammarCheck’s Deep Check, you had better go for Grammarly’s premium option directly.
The free check available in this tool can lightly work for checking your text. You must go for a reliable check with the deep check option.
So, it means that you should rely on Grammarly as the deep check is the service of Grammarly.

One of my clients first informed me about the tool for checking plagiarism and later on, I discovered that the tool serves as many services as possible with its awesomeness.
After pasting your text that needs correction, you’ll need to confirm that you’re not a robot by tapping on the button ‘I’m not a robot’. After the verification, the process for punctuation and grammar check will be prompted.
This tool’s performance is awesome and you can rely on the tool without any confusion.
There are 3 buttons under the grammar check box. The names of the buttons are as follows –
- Check Grammar
- Deep Grammar Check
- Start New Search
The first button does the check within the tool. The next button ‘Deep Grammar Check’ is actually the affiliate link of Grammarly.
So, it’ll take you to Grammarly’s site for further checking.
I can add here is that if you intend to go through the deep grammar check option, then you should directly visit Grammarly and then check your text there.
When I checked the tool with the same text, I got the same suggestions for making two passive sentences to active ones and replacing the word ‘in order to’ with ‘to’. So I found the tool’s checking process is almost similar to most other tools that are available online.
Sentence Checker is good for checking your written sentences for any grammatical error. It’s very simple, sleek and fast. You can easily get your check done within a very short period of time with this punctuation checker.
Visiting the site of Sentence Checker will show you a clean page with a blank box having a short line in it. You can paste or type your required text for checking its grammatical errors.
I’ve tested the tool with a few sentences and then hit the “Check Text” button. It gave me the result very quickly, though my text had no grammatical flaws. Suggestions for the tool come with different colored marks. So seeing some colorful marks on different portions of your checked text, you could understand the fixing area of it.
The tool shows some ads on its page. Note that this tool is based on Language Tool which I’ve already mentioned before in this post too. As the Language Tool is an open source software, any person can customize it.
WhiteSmoke is a robust tool having multiple functionalities for grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, and plagiarism checking. It supports over 50 different languages, so this tool won’t be a language barrier if you’re not native English speaker.
GrammarBase Comma checker
GrammarBase is a great tool for punctuation and grammar check. It serves a handful of exciting features. There’s a word count stat on top-middle of the site which shows today’s total number of words checking. This shows a huge number which reveals that the tool, GrammarBase, is very popular for checking the text.
On the top right side of the website, there’s the login key. If you’re already registered there, you can log in through the button. If you’re still not registered on GrammarBase, you can do so by hitting the same button. From the pop-up sign-in window, there’s the sign-up option at the bottom of that. Follow the link & sign up today.
Grammar Checker is a free checker powered by Grammarly. It can also detect plagiarism in your text.
In fact, this site is an affiliate seller of Grammarly. It shows the Grammarly’s checkbox on the site. Dropping your text in the box & hitting the “Check your text” will detect different grammatical flaws in it.
As the site is an affiliate of Grammarly, my suggestion is to visit Grammarly and then check your text directly with it.
Virtual Writing Tutor
This is really an awesome tool for proofreading your text. One extra feature of this tool that attracted me a lot is the facility of voice typing. Yes, you can tell things & the tool will automatically type that in the checking box. After that, checking for grammar & spelling will give you a report of your recorded voice’s text.
This is a great addition to this tool. I think many of you’ll like this feature.
Through the common way, you can paste or type your text for checking. All the flaws come with different colored marks. You’ll just have to tap all the color marks so that you can get the tool’s suggestion. By following the suggestions, you can make your text error-free.
I can’t stop telling some other exciting features of the tool. This tool offers ‘Download text’ and ‘Print the page’ options. Using the options, you can download your corrected text and/or print it.
PunctuationCheck is a site that offers Grammarly’s affiliate product. So there’s nothing to tell you about this tool. It’s better to use Grammarly instead of this one.
Whenever you see that a tool is using another tool for better service, that time you should go for the main product. Do the same in this case too. If you see that a tool is using Grammarly for better results, then why not try Grammarly instead?
I think the same people have started this site those who’ve made the previous two sites. The layout of these sites is almost similar. Even the images used in these sites are all the same.
This site is also an affiliate of Grammarly, so please just visit Grammarly for checking your text.
SpellCheckPlus is another perfect tool for checking punctuation and other grammatical flaws. It can give you a perfectly checked text after you check it with this checker.
There are options for typing or pasting into the blank check box. You can either type or paste your text for checking for any sort of grammatical error. For this, this tool is very easy-to-use.
The only annoying thing about this checker is that it pops up different AdSense ads on the site. Other than this, the tool is nice. So give it a try.
If you check the tool, you’ll see that the text checking process is very fast and reliable. It also provides a grammar score. So you can tell your text’s problem by watching the score. If it’s 100%, that means there’s no problem in your text. if it comes below 100%, then you’ll have to understand that there are some problems with it.
With the ‘Check Text’ button situated under the box, you can go through a thorough check for your text. Under the checkbox, there’s also an additional option called “I’m Anglophone”. If you wanna get the correction that’s better suited for native English speakers, then you should tick the option.
I mean if you’re a native English speaker or you can determine English well, then you can opt-in for the option. Otherwise, check without ticking the button.
This is a grammar and punctuation checking tool which is basically not free at all though there’s a 3-day trial period for testing it. After the 3-day trial period, you can go for the premium option which has three different packages. The three packages are Complete Edition, Teacher Edition, and Spanish Edition. I recommend that you go for Complete Edition if you really want to take its paid version.
Update: Now the tool doesn’t offer any free trial though you can still purchase and use it as per your need. There are many benefits of using this tool which is as follows –
- CorrectEnglish claims that it can correct 6500 linguistic rules.
- It supports varieties of languages, so multilingual writers can get ample benefits from the tool.
- The tool provides APA and MLA style guide with its integrated tools and tips.
- It can also detect plagiarism in your text, so you won’t have to go to any other plagiarism checker.
- The tool can evaluate your text within a minute.
- One exciting thing about the tool is that you can collaborate with other people whom you wish to give feedback to your writing.
So seeing all the benefits, you can take a good decision by going for the tool. However, the tool is basically for formal writing. So if you only blog, then you shouldn’t go for this tool. This is because blogging is mostly done with informal writing.
Online Text Correction
Online Text Correction is a very simple yet powerful free online grammar checker. There’s a blank box where you’ll need to paste the text that needs correction. The performance of the tool is very fast, so it’s a very fast punctuation corrector.
I’ve tested the tool with a little text. After dropping the text in the box, I hit the “Check text” button and soon I got the correction in another box situated under the checking box.
It showed some green texts with green underlines which meant that I could go for some improvement with the words. In one line of my text, there was a word ‘online’, but the tool couldn’t recognize the word and showed me the red color on it.
It just disappointed me a lot because how come an online punctuation tool can’t recognize the word ‘online’? It also suggested me to lessen some intensifiers from my writing which I didn’t like too.
Why? The answer is simple. Intensifiers help increase the Flesch Reading Ease of a sentence.
So, cutting off the intensifiers would seriously affect negatively on my writing’s Flesh Reading Ease which is a great standard for judging text whether it’s easy or hard to read.
The tool also shows popup ads on the right side of the homepage. To manage space for the ad, the online tool has sacrificed its lot of space. Showing ads is an irritating thing to me.
So, if you like me who becomes annoyed with these types of ads, then you shouldn’t check this tool.
SpellChecker is a great choice for checking English linguistic errors in your writing. It has two different versions like GrammarCheck. The Basic Check is free and the Advanced Check is paid which is an affiliate of Grammarly.
One thing to clarify you that this tool supports tons of languages, so you can use this tool for checking text written in English and many other languages. Visiting the site will open the homepage of it where you’ll see a big blank box. This is the box for text checking.
On top of the box, there’s the option for selecting languages. Tap on the button ‘Change’ and choose your preferred language. The Basic check will keep you in the tool, but the Advanced check will take you to the site of Grammarly.
This tool also serves a great dictionary for checking words for exact meanings, antonyms, and misspellings. I’ve tested the tool by dropping a small text in the box. After hitting the Basic Check option, the tool opened a popup result. The tool couldn’t detect any error in my text and I was also confident to see that there were no errors.
One suggestion gave the tool, just disappointed me a lot! Yes, in the text, there was a word ‘wanna’ and the tool just suggested me to change that to some common proper names like Anna, Ana etc. Wanna should be recognized as the tool as this is a very common word in the English language.
I always hate to see big ads on every webpage. So this was another annoying about of the tool. There are two big ads pop up on the homepage of SpellChecker.
Do you wanna be sure whether there’s any grammatical error or not in your text? Then you can go for OnlineCorrection without having the subtle confusion about its quality. Yes, you can get decent checking result from this punctuation checking tool.
There are different English dialects to choose from the button “Dialect”. It supports 5 kinds of dialects in English such as –
- American English
- British English
- Australian English
- New Zealand English
- South African English
This option is really a great addition which is missing in many other decent tools. This tool serves different suggestions with different colored marks which are the most common ways of showing suggestions in most other grammar checker tools.
You’ll just have to hover over the mouse pointer on the colored marks which will show you the suggestions in details in a popup drop-down menu. By tapping on the suggested option (s), you could use the appropriate ones in your writing. This way, you can write near to error-free text.
In the End!
Every now and then, you need to write. You need to write for your studies, for your work, and for many more purposes.
Recently, online writing such as blogging and freelance writing has increased the use of writing by many times than those of past decades. So, there’s an urgent need for checking your text for any sort of punctuation and spelling error.
To bring ease to your writing experience, the online free grammar and punctuation checker tools that I’ve mentioned in this blog post will really help you. Choose the best grammar checker for you.
